Nils Lofgren Grin 1 + 1 T-Shirt

A 1972 album by Grin, whose guitarist was, of course, Nils Lofgren. As well as being an album in its own right, this was released by CBS in the UK as part of a 1976 double album set along with its predecessor Grin. Which is how I first saw it. Like Crazy Horse, they released great albums that didn’t chart, four between 1971 and 1973. The first side is labelled ’Rockin' Side’ and the flip side is labelled ‘Dreamy Side’. This is where we first heard ‘Moon Tears’ which became a big song for Nils and a song that was playing as I walked into the Hotel Mondrian on Sunset Boulevard for breakfast. I said at the time ‘What are the chances you’d hear this in any hotel in Britain?’ Rock n roll.
