The very first Volunteer Jam concert was held at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville on October 4, 1974 when the Charlie Daniels Band got together with members of the Allmans and Marshall Tucker Band got on stage together. It's been held ever since, sometimes they skip a year or two or longer. Some of the jams are available as live albums, and 2021's Jam was the 21st in total.
