The album has been certified double diamond by the RIAA, selling over 11.5 million copies (counted as 23 million units) as the sixth most certified album of all time in the USA. Worldwide sales exceed 18 million however it only topped the charts in New Zealand. In UK it got to #7, and #6 in the USA
