John Mayall Blues Breakers Beano Album T Shirt
About the Product
This 1966 blues rock album recorded by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton as part of the band was an absolute game changer in the British blues boom. I went on to shape blues rock for two generations.
It is also known as The Beano Album because of its cover photograph showing Clapton reading The Beano which if you don't know, is a British children's comic. Clapton stated in his autobiography that he was reading The Beano on the cover because he felt like being "uncooperative" during the photo shoot. The photographer was Derek Wedgbury and the location was near the Old Kent Road.
I've always felt this was one of root sources for what became classic rock, based on the blues: loud and riffy. It's influence is deep and wide. It made #6 in UK and didn't chart in USA which was about to have the blues sold back to them by the Brits.

It means if you live in the EU, you will have to pay VAT on your order to get it delivered. Please don't waste all of our time by ordering if you aren't prepared to pay it and don't send me indignant emails about it - I can't help it, I hate it more than you, believe me and I have told you!! Right?
