He has been a member of several progressive rock bands, including Curved Air, Roxy Music, U.K. and Jethro Tull. He was also part of Frank Zappa's band in 1976–77. Aside from his keyboard work Jobson is probably most famous for his violin playing. Jobson was born Edwin Jobson in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, England on 28 April 1955. He is the first and only violinist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Famously, he plays a plexi-glass violin which looks super cool.
