He was the co-founder, guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the superb rock band Mountain. Born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City on October 22, 1945. He was in the garage band The Vagrants. Some of the Vagrants' recordings were produced by Felix Pappalardi who he formed the brilliant band Mountain with. Nantucket Sleighride was their best charting album #16 in USA and #14 in the UK.
