They were a southern rock band formed near Macon, Georgia in 1973 and became a well-known band during the peak of the southern rock era. They recorded two albums for Capricorn Records in the mid-1970s, but never achieved widespread recognition. In the UK, they are best known for their recording "Pickin' the Blues", which was used for many years by John Peel as his theme tune. This was their biggest, only charting album, making #144 in the USA. They supported many big bands and played the Volunteer Jam. Eventually splitting in 1982.
