Released in 1964.The compositions were for the television show Mr. Broadway. The quartet contained Paul Desmond on alto saxophone, Eugene Wright on acoustic bass, and Joe Morello on drums.
This, for me, embodies that cool jazz of the early 60s. You can place it by its cool, urbane, slightly reverby sound. It sounds early 60s, if you know what I mean.
